You walked past me several times that day. You were weary and confused, knowing I was following you but being so unknowing as to who I was drove you mad. But I still followed you, let you know I was there. You knew you were different, you always had. Those little things you could do that no one else could. You wouldn't even tell your best friend, if you even had one.
That night you finally lay your head down on the pillow after a day of fear. The music playing softly in the backround, sooting your very soul. You fell asleep quickly and slipped into a dream. It seemed as if you were remembering a memory from long ago, so long that the edges were blurred. You knew you were dreaming but it was a memory none the less. If you can't remember right now, let me elaborate about it;
"Who are you?" you whispered into the darkness. There was nothing but black, empty, eery space. Like a black hole. But you weren't alone, you knew you weren't. There was a strong presence there, no spirit nor living creature could eminate a presence like that...or so you thought.
"Calm young one. I am Asami Chan, no need to be alarmed. This is a memory, though you already know that-" the voice was calm and inviting, you searched through the darkness waving your arms and you strained your eyes no matter how useless it was. You heard a soft giggle and someone pressing your arms down.
"Calm down luvvie. You're safe, I promise" the voice was close, right in front of you. Though you could tell that the voice was a girl now. You saw a shimmering light appear and before you knew it you were face to face with a pretty girl that was about 16 years old and her purple eyes were peering curiously into yours with sincerity. She couldn't help but smile and shee winked. "I won't let you go" she said the words like they were a promise and you believed.
"Come with me, I'll take you to a place where you won't feel so, different" she took your hand without even hesitating and walked you to your window. "Okay, you probably don't trust me but hang on tight" she whispered and jumped out the window, taking you with her. You felt a scream building up and squeezed your eyes shut. "Open your eyes! We're here" she said and you felt yourself softly land on soft, mossy ground. It took you a few second to open your eyes and there you were, standing in a wonderland. The moon was so large that it was almost as if you could reach up and place your hand on it. There were lights and buildings everywhere, not to mention the noise. Even though it was the middle of the night there was still partying going on.
"If you like it here you can stay. You wouldn't be able to go home though, think about it while you stay here" she murmured from behind you, in your ear. You were still speechless and so you followed her to your room which was on the top story and looked like a pent house. When you turned around to say thank you she was gone and just two simple words were drifting on the wind "Semper Fi..." It was then, you woke up, and there I stood over you. Without hesitance you took my hand and we soared to my home, and soon to be yours. Mike Hoshi.
Will you choose to live in a new world, leaving everything you know behind to for once feel like you belong? It's your choice and no one's making you stay.
